Riyadh Metro Line 3 elevated stations

The structures for the elevated stations were divided in two types. A general design, with minor modifications for each location, was applied to eight (8) of those stations. This design consisted on a bridge 80 meters long, divided in three spans 20-40-20 m long. The width is variable with an average of 17 meters. The structure is designed as precast segmental concrete box girder. Construction process is partly balanced cantilever, and partly by erection with launching gantry. The second type of station was designed as a bridge 146 m long divided in five spans 33.75-19.25-40-19.25-33.75 m long and 20 m wide. The deck is designed and cast in place prestressed concrete voided slab.
