Narrow Water Bridge. Northern Ireland

The Narrow Water bridge, in Northern Ireland, is designed as a tw-span cable stayed bridge. The main span is 138 m long and the side span 55 m long.

Side span is movable to allow for navigation. The opening system is by rotation of the deck and pylon around a hinge located at the intersection of both elements.

SILGA’s scope was to perform a recalculation of the bridge to obtain reviewed quantities and assess if those included in the tender documents had some risk of having to be increased in this lump-sum contract tender.
