Candelaria bridge. Tenerife, Spain

The pedestrian access to the La Candelaria hospital in Tenerife, Spain, is done over a busy motorway in an area where the Municipality wanted to have an iconic structure

The design that was developed was a very slender structure consisting of a steel arch supported by a stay system. 

Main span is 50 meters.
