Urbi bridge. Basauri, Spain

Design of this bridge was challenging because it was done over a busy motorway where no long traffic diversions were possible.

The chosen design was a suspension self-anchored bridge with a main span of 38 meters.

The deck in designed in concrete cast over a steel trough that served as formwork and also as part of the structural system

SILGA’s scope was detail design and assistance during construction.
