Improvement of Access to Dammam Port in Saudi Arabia

Two interchanges have been designed in the project for the improvement of exits and entries to Dammam Port.

The figure at the top shows the bridge on Salman Farsi Rd over King Fahd Rd, designed with continuous precast concrete U girders.

The figure at the bottom is the left turn over King Abdulaziz Road, designed as a prestressed concrete voided slab.

The project also included the design of a footbridge on King Abdulaziz road.

For this project BIM was used for geometric definition and coordination with road, drainage and utilities. The figures shown correspond to the BIM model.SILGA was responsible for the concept design, detail design and tender documents, in collaboration with AMO&P Engineering and DAIR engineering. The Owner is Dammam Port Authority.
