The Lagares water treatment plant serves the needs of the city of Vigo, for a total population of 800,000 people. This plant is the largest bio-filtration plant in Spain.
Structures included the bioprocessing buildings, designed in reinforced concrete, and digestor tanks designed as prestressed concrete structures.
SILGA was responsible for detail design of the structures.
