Río de La Pila Bridge.

Santander, Spain

The connection of two streets over a third one in the city of Santander required a design with good aesthetic values corresponding to the urban environment.

The design that was developed was a very slender structure with piers having a tree-like appearance.

The bridge has three spans with lengths of 11.75-20-0-11.75 meters. The width is 5.55 meters. The deck is designed as reinforced concrete and the piers designed in steel.

SILGA’s scope was detail design and assistance during construction.
