Río Duero Bridge. Aranda de Duero, Spain

A bridge over river Duero was designed as part of the works for carrying water to a water treatment station nearby. The initial purpose of accommodating the water pipe was complemented with pedestrian use in an area of high natural beauty.

The bridge was designed as a single span bowstring arch, with a length of 80 meters.

The bridge was launched with the help of cranes without any impact on the river.

SILGA’s scope was detail design and assistance during construction.
